Carbon neutral by 2025

BUSINESS CANNOT WAIT. NEITHER CAN THE WORLD.

Solana Jets commits to carbon neutrality across its entire business by 2025 to give the climate crisis the attention it deserves.
Let’s start change now.

OUR PLEDGE

Solana Jets commits to being fully carbon neutral across its entire business by 2025.

Since introducing offsets to customers in January 2020, over 85% of Solana Jets Members have opted in to compensate for their fuel use-related emissions by investing in certified carbon credits around the world.

Solana Jets has selected emission reduction projects of exceptional quality, adhering to the highest environmental standards and holding additional certifications. In addition to reducing global greenhouse gas emissions, Solana Jets  projects support the well-being of local communities in the countries the company flies to.

Fuel consumption reduced by 8% due to ongoing investments in technology and AI.

90%

90% of single use items on board our aircraft have been replaced by sustainable alternatives.

85%

Over 85% of Solana Jets Members have opted to compensate for their flights by investing in carbon credits.

OUR ACTIONS

Outlined below are the sustainable projects Solana Jets currently has in place to reach carbon neutrality.

OFFSETTING

Solana Jets and its customers are compensating for the emissions generated by their fuel consumption. Together with leading sustainability solutions experts South Pole, we support emission reduction projects of exceptional quality that adhere to the highest environmental standards and hold additional environmental and social certifications.

SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL

While offsetting reduces carbon footprint indirectly, using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), which has a lower carbon intensity, significantly and directly reduces these GHG's emissions — in its neat form, SAF can reduce total lifecycle CO2 emissions by over 85% compared to conventional jet fuel.

SAF is a liquid and clean substitute for fossil jet fuel, produced from sustainable resources like waste oils and agricultural residues.

OUR ACTIONS

Outlined below are the sustainable projects Solana Jets currently has in place to reach carbon neutrality.

EFFICIENT AIRCRAFT

The Global 7500 is the first business jet to receive an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

High-speed transonic wings cut down on drag, reducing fuel burn and emissions while its GE Passport Engines have a reduced fuel consumption of approximately 2.5 litres per functional unit.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Through investment in AI and machine-learning technology, Solana Jets is working on predictive route algorithms to minimize ferry flights and reduce fuel consumption.

To date, using the FLIGHTKEYS 5D flight management system, the company has been able to optimize route, altitude and speed resulting in reducing fuel consumption by 8% per flight.

ESG CONSULTATION

HELPING CORPORATIONS MEET THEIR SUSTAINABILITY GOALS

Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are increasingly frequent procurement requirements for corporations.

Arrange a consultation with our sustainability team so we can advise on the best course of action your company can take to reduce your flight-related emissions.
